An MIC resident company recently had the chance to showcase its venture to a national audience. Public safety software business DataTech911, which managing partner Swati Allen says “supports the FIRST first responders — the 911 call takers,” was selected to appear on Bloomberg TV’s program “World’s Greatest!…”. The show highlights businesses of all sizes with innovative offerings that make them stand out in their respective fields.

After the vetting process, How 2 Media, the show’s producers, reached out to the DataTech911 team and started working toward the segment with Swati and fellow managing partner Michael Salonish. The team spent a November day shooting their segment. Before the day arrived, Swati and Michael reached out to others featured on the show, and all had nothing but positive experiences and glowing reviews.

Swati said she particularly appreciated the time and level of detail that the small production team spent walking them through the process during filming. The team tailored the day to their business and their comfort.

Their episode aired on February 26 and March 5.

“It was phenomenal,” Swati said. “We really appreciated having the chance to put our story out there and to share our commitment to enhancing critical 911 services.”

Over the years, DataTech911 has grown with the help of MIC mentor Doug Holly and has benefited from the collaborative, friendly environment fostered therein.

“Filming our ‘World’s Greatest!…’ TV segment really felt like coming full circle,” Swati said. “Everyone has been supporting and accommodating, and this was no different.”
