Pitch and Mingle Series: The Great Pumpkin Pitch Application
The Pitch and Mingle Series: The Great Pumpkin Pitch will select the five best-fitting early-stage applications to present at the Pitch and Mingle event held on October 20th.
Applications are due by Thursday, September 15th at 5 pm.
CRITERIA
- We are looking for innovative and disruptive ideas and concepts. The idea can be for a new business, product, or offering. The key is that it is an innovative solution or offering and has the potential to gain traction in the marketplace.
- The business or personal residence of the founder must be in Maryland.
- This pitch competition is designed for pre-revenue early-stage ideas.
- Selected applicants will be required to present at the Pitch and Mingle event on October 20th, including being on video and in photographs used by Howard County and the Maryland Innovation Center for promotional purposes.
The top applicants will be contacted by Tuesday, September 20th, for a 15-minute interview and discussion about the next steps. After the interviews are completed, the five finalists will be announced on September 23rd.
WINNER BENEFITS
Each finalist will receive pitch coaching to help them prepare a 4-minute presentation of their idea. Each presenter will receive a complimentary ticket for themselves and a guest to attend the Pitch and Mingle event on October 20th, where they will present their pitch.
The prizes to be awarded are:
- First Prize $3000
- Second Prize $2000
- Third Prize $1000
- Audience favorite $1000
